NOTICE TO BIDDERS – BOROUGH OF HOUSTON NORTH JEFFERSON STREET DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
Sealed proposals will be received by the Borough of Houston, Washington County, Pennsylvania, at the office of HMT and Associates located at 130 Cecil Street, Canonsburg, Pennsylvania 15317, until 4:00 P.M. on September 08, 2021 for the 2021 Borough of Houston North Jefferson Street Drainage Improvements Project. Bids will be opened and read aloud at the regular Borough Council meeting September 08, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.
The scope of work generally consists of N. Jefferson and E. Grant Streets drainage improvements to include street milling and pavement overlay.
Proposals must be on the forms furnished by the Borough Engineer. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid price, made payable to the Borough of Houston.
Bid Plans and Specifications are available at the Engineer’s office, HMT and Associates, 130 Cecil Street, Canonsburg, Pennsylvania 15317, upon payment of seventy-nine dollars and fifty cents ($79.50). Checks are to be made payable to: HMT and Associates and are non-refundable. No plans or specifications will be mailed. Copies of the contract documents including drawings and technical specifications, are available at no cost via download from the HMT and Associates website at https:/hmtandassociates.com under “Bids”.
The bid envelope must be clearly marked 2021 Borough of Houston North Jefferson Street Drainage Improvements Project and delivered to the Engineers Office of HMT and Associates located at 130 Cecil Street, Canonsburg, Pennsylvania 15317, until 4:00 P.M. on September 08, 2021
The Borough of Houston reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals or any portion thereof.
Bids may be held by the Borough for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding the Contract.
In no event will the Borough of Houston consider a contractor as eligible if he cannot initiate the work under the contract within 15 days of the contract execution and proceed to the successful completion of the work within 45 consecutive calendar days of the Notice to Proceed.
