INVITATION FOR BIDS

 The Redevelopment Authority of the County of Washington (RACW) will receive bids for the MONONGAHELA ACCESSIBLE BOAT LAUNCH PROJECT NOS. LS 16-06 AND LS 18-09 until 11:00 A.M., prevailing time, on FEBRUARY 13, 2019, at its office, 100 West Beau Street, Suite 603, Washington, Pennsylvania 15301, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Copies of the contract documents including drawings, technical specifications, and bid forms may be obtained at HMT and Associates, 130 Cecil Street, Canonsburg, PA 15317 (Phone 724-916-0061) starting on January 28, 2019.  A nonrefundable payment of $106.00 payable to HMT and Associates is required for each set of contract documents. No plans or specifications will be mailed. Copies of the contract documents including drawings and technical specifications are available at no cost via download from the HMT and Associates Website at https:/hmtandassociates.com under “Bids”.

A NON-MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING WILL BE HELD ON FEBRUARY 6, 2019 @ 10:00 A.M. AT THE MONONGAHELA AQUATORIUM, 200 RAILROAD STREET, MONONGAHELA, PENNSYLAVNIA.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty, which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. The form of the guaranty shall be in accordance with the type permitted under the contract documents.

Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project; that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap.

RACW reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding.  Bids may be held by RACW for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the contract.

In no event will RACW consider a contractor as eligible if he cannot initiate the work under the contract within 15 days of the contract execution and proceed to the successful completion of the work within 60 consecutive calendar days of the Notice to Proceed.
